Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin-on
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets bone-dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Whisk constantly for 3–5 minutes until the mixture bubbles and thickens into a syrupy consistency.
  4. Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and generously brush the first layer of glaze over the top of each fillet.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  6. Switch the oven to broil for the final 2 minutes. Brush on a final layer of the reduced glaze and broil until caramelized.
