Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin-on
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets bone-dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Whisk constantly for 3–5 minutes until the mixture bubbles and thickens into a syrupy consistency.
- Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and generously brush the first layer of glaze over the top of each fillet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Switch the oven to broil for the final 2 minutes. Brush on a final layer of the reduced glaze and broil until caramelized.
