Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground Breakfast Sausage
  • 2 cups Bisquick or similar All-Purpose Baking Mix
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 8 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese, freshly shredded
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp Whole Milk

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine the raw pork sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and cayenne. Mix on medium-low speed until the fats are evenly distributed.
  2. Gradually add the baking mix to the wet ingredients. Mix until no white streaks remain and the dough holds together when squeezed. If the mixture is too dry, add milk one tablespoon at a time.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  4. Using a 1-tablespoon cookie scoop, portion the dough and roll between your palms into 1-inch spherical rounds. Place on the prepared baking sheet, spaced 1 inch apart.
  5. Bake for 20–22 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
