Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Trim ends of the green beans.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Boil the green beans for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Drain and immediately plunge into an ice bath to stop the cooking.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic.
- Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add drained green beans and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the green beans and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring well.
- Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Transfer the green beans to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if using.
