Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb salmon fillets
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the sugar from sticking.
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. Brush the fillets lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and lemon juice until the sugar has mostly dissolved into a smooth, thick paste.
- Spoon the glaze generously over the top of each fillet. Use the back of the spoon or a pastry brush to spread the mixture to the edges, creating an even layer.
- Place the salmon in the oven for 10–12 minutes until the glaze bubbles and turns a deep mahogany-brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork or reaches an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C).
