Ingredients:

  • 2 Large Fuji or Honeycrisp apples (approx. 400g)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup (64g) natural creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp (10g) hemp hearts or chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup (25g) low-sugar granola
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt (optional)
  • 1 dash Ceylon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wash the apples thoroughly. Slice them into even wedges, about half an inch thick.
  2. Submerge the apple slices in a mixture of 1 cup water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice for about 1 minute to ensure full coverage. Remove and pat completely dry with a clean towel.
  3. If the peanut butter is firm, microwave it for 10 seconds — just enough to make it pourable but not hot. Use your spatula to spread a generous layer onto one side of each apple wedge.
  4. While the butter is still tacky, sprinkle on the hemp hearts and granola evenly over the peanut butter. Finish with an optional pinch of sea salt or cinnamon.
