Ingredients:
- 2 filet mignon steaks, 6 oz each
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp coarse black pepper
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions:
- Pat the steaks completely dry with paper towels. Rub each steak with avocado oil and season generously with salt and pepper on all sides. Let them sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the steaks in the basket, ensuring they are not touching.
- Cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until an instant-read thermometer shows an internal temperature of 120°F (49°C) for medium-rare.
- While steaks are searing, whisk together melted butter, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and chopped thyme in a small bowl.
- Brush a thick layer of the glaze over the top and sides of the steaks. Air fry for an additional 2 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and tacky.
- Remove the steaks immediately and let them rest on a warm plate for 5 minutes before serving.
