Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh or frozen edamame beans, in pods
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- Sea salt, to taste
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add edamame and a pinch of sea salt.
- Boil for about 5 minutes until tender but still firm; drain and set aside.
- In the same saucepan, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Return the drained edamame to the pan. Pour in soy sauce and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat evenly.
- Transfer to a serving bowl, and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
