Ingredients:

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (like King's Hawaiian), unsplit
  • 1 pound (454g) thinly sliced smoked turkey breast
  • 8 ounces (227g) Swiss cheese slices
  • 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (5 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion (5 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.25 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25 ml)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the top and bottom intact. This creates one large 'top bun' and one large 'bottom bun'.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish. Layer evenly with sliced turkey.
  4. Top the turkey with slices of Swiss cheese, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
  5. Carefully place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, dried minced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Evenly brush the buttery mixture over the top of the rolls. Make sure to get into all the little crevices.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let the sliders rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  10. Use a serrated knife to slice the sliders along the pre-cut lines of the rolls. Serve warm.
