Ingredients:
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (like King's Hawaiian), unsplit
- 1 pound (454g) thinly sliced smoked turkey breast
- 8 ounces (227g) Swiss cheese slices
- 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15 ml)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (5 ml)
- 1 teaspoon dried minced onion (5 ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.25 ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25 ml)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the top and bottom intact. This creates one large 'top bun' and one large 'bottom bun'.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish. Layer evenly with sliced turkey.
- Top the turkey with slices of Swiss cheese, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
- Carefully place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, dried minced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Evenly brush the buttery mixture over the top of the rolls. Make sure to get into all the little crevices.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the sliders rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
- Use a serrated knife to slice the sliders along the pre-cut lines of the rolls. Serve warm.
