Ingredients:
- 2 slices Artisan Bread (e.g., sourdough, ciabatta)
- 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter, softened (14g)
- 1 ounce Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded (28g)
- 1 ounce Gruyere Cheese, shredded (28g)
- 1/2 ounce Smoked Gouda Cheese, shredded (14g)
- 1 teaspoon Mayonnaise (5g) (optional)
Instructions:
- Shred cheddar, Gruyere, and Gouda cheeses. Combine in a small bowl.
- Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the bread. Top with the remaining slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook over low heat for 4-6 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted. For extra browning, spread the buttered side up with mayonnaise before placing it in the pan.
- Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, slice, and serve immediately.
