Ingredients:

  • Tablespoons Coarse Sea Salt (for rim)
  • cup Fresh Ripe Mango, cubed (Approx. 200g)
  • fl oz Tequila Blanco (100% Agave recommended)
  • fl oz Fresh Lime Juice (About 2 medium limes)
  • fl oz Cointreau or High-Quality Orange Liqueur
  • - 0.75 fl oz Agave Nectar or Simple Syrup (Adjust to taste)
  • Approx. 2 cups Ice Cubes

Instructions:

  1. Moisten the rims of two rocks glasses or coupé glasses with a lime wedge. Gently dip the rims into the coarse salt placed on a saucer. Set glasses aside.
  2. Place the cubed fresh mango and the agave nectar/simple syrup into the cocktail shaker. Muddle vigorously until the mango is broken down into a rough purée.
  3. Add the tequila, orange liqueur, and fresh lime juice to the shaker over the mango base.
  4. Fill the shaker about two-thirds full with ice. Seal tightly and shake hard for 15–20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is thoroughly frosty.
  5. Fill your prepared, rimmed glasses with fresh ice. Double strain the mixture (using a fine-mesh sieve if necessary) into the glasses to ensure a smooth texture.
  6. Garnish each glass with a thin slice of lime or a small wedge of fresh mango on the rim. Serve immediately.
