Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60ml) Vodka (High-quality, such as Grey Goose or Belvedere)
  • 1 oz (30ml) Freshly Brewed Espresso (cooled)
  • ¾ oz (22.5 ml) Coffee Liqueur (Kahlúa or Tia Maria)
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated and cooled)
  • 3-4 Ice Cubes (large, preferably)
  • 3 Coffee Beans (whole, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Chill Your Glass: Place your martini glass in the freezer for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Brew and Cool Espresso: Brew a double shot of espresso and let it cool slightly.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Add vodka, cooled espresso, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.
  4. Add Ice: Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  5. Shake Vigorously: Seal the shaker tightly and shake hard for 15-20 seconds.
  6. Strain into Glass: Double-strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer (or a fine-mesh sieve) into your chilled martini glass.
  7. Garnish: Garnish with 3 coffee beans, arranged artfully on top of the foam.
