Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • 1/3 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1/3 cup chocolate ice cream
  • 1/3 cup strawberry ice cream
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons pineapple chunks, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons whipped cream
  • 3 maraschino cherries, with stems
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Peel the banana and slice it lengthwise.
  2. Place the banana halves in the banana split boat, curved sides facing outwards.
  3. Place a scoop of vanilla ice cream between the banana halves, then a scoop of chocolate, and then a scoop of strawberry.
  4. Drizzle chocolate sauce over the vanilla ice cream and strawberry sauce over the strawberry ice cream.
  5. Sprinkle the pineapple chunks over the chocolate ice cream.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the entire split.
  7. Pipe or spoon whipped cream over the top of the split, between the ice cream scoops.
  8. Place a maraschino cherry on top of each scoop of ice cream.
