  • tablespoon Granulated Sugar
  • Zest of 1 Lime
  • cup Fresh or Frozen Mango Chunks
  • ounces (60ml) Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • ounce (30ml) Cointreau or high-quality Orange Liqueur
  • ounces (60ml) Blanco (Silver) Tequila
  • /2 ounce (15ml) Agave Nectar or Simple Syrup
  • /4 cup Water (if using fresh mango)
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Combine salt, sugar, and lime zest on a shallow plate. Mix well with a fork.
  2. Moisten the rims of the two serving glasses using a lime wedge, then gently roll the outer edge of each glass into the salt mixture until coated evenly. Set aside.
  3. In a blender, combine mango chunks, lime juice, Cointreau, tequila, agave nectar/syrup, and water (if using fresh mango). Blend until completely smooth and uniform.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust for desired sweetness/tartness.
  5. Option 1 (Frozen): Add 1.5 cups of ice to the blender with the liquid mixture and pulse until thick and slushy. Pour into prepared glasses.

  7. Garnish each glass with a thin lime wheel or a small wedge of fresh mango on the rim. Serve immediately.
