Ingredients:

  • cup Ripe Mango, peeled and cubed (or 1 cup frozen mango chunks)
  • oz Fresh Lime Juice (about 1 large lime)
  • oz – 0.75 oz Agave Nectar or Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)
  • oz Blanco (Silver) Tequila (100% agave recommended)
  • oz Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • –2 oz Water or Orange Juice (for consistency adjustment)
  • – 2 cups Ice Cubes
  • Coarse Salt (Kosher or Sea Salt) for rim (Optional)
  • Lime Wedges for garnish
  • Extra Mango Chunks for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Rim (Optional): Moisten the rims of your chosen glasses with a lime wedge. Place salt onto a shallow plate and gently roll the outer edge of each glass into the salt to coat evenly. Set aside.
  2. Measure & Combine Fruit Base: Add the cubed mango, fresh lime juice, and sweetener (agave/syrup) into the blender jar.
  3. Add Spirits: Pour in the tequila and orange liqueur.
  4. Blend Initial Mix: Pulse the ingredients until the mango is mostly broken down but still slightly textured.
  5. Add Ice & Final Blend: Add the ice cubes. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and thick, scraping down the sides if necessary. If the mixture is too thick to move, add a splash of water or orange juice.
  6. Taste Test: Briefly taste the mixture. Adjust sweetness (add more agave) or tartness (add a squeeze of lime) as needed.
  7. Pour & Serve: Pour the blended mixture immediately into the prepared, rimmed glasses.
  8. Garnish: Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and a small piece of fresh mango. Serve immediately.
