Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs (680g) ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 teaspoon (5g) kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) black pepper
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) cold water, optional
- 4 burger buns
- Your favorite burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.)
Instructions:
- Gently combine ground beef, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and optional water in a large bowl. Avoid overmixing.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and gently shape into patties, about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
- Let the patties rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375-400°F or 190-205°C). Make sure the grates are clean.
- Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for 4-6 minutes per side for medium doneness (internal temperature of 160°F or 71°C). For medium-rare, cook for 3-5 minutes per side (145°F or 63°C).
- Remove the burgers from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Toast your burger buns (optional). Place a patty on each bun and load up with your favorite toppings.
