Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup (30g) fresh kale, stems removed and chopped
  • 1/2 frozen banana (60g)
  • 1/2 cup (75g) frozen mixed berries
  • 1 scoop (30g) vanilla protein powder
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) almond butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) chia seeds (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients (almond milk, kale, banana, berries, protein powder, Greek yogurt, almond butter, chia seeds, and optional honey/maple syrup) to the blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more almond milk. If it's too thin, add a few more frozen berries or a couple of ice cubes and blend again.
  4. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness to your liking. Add a touch more honey or maple syrup if needed.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
