Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Mezcal
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • ¼ teaspoon Activated Charcoal Powder (food grade)
  • Black Sea Salt
  • Lime wedge
  • Edible black glitter
  • Optional: A dash of simple syrup, to taste.

Instructions:

  1. Moisten the rim of your chilled glass with a lime wedge. Spread black sea salt on a plate, dip rim of the glass into the salt to coat evenly.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, mezcal, lime juice, orange liqueur, activated charcoal powder, and simple syrup (if using).
  3. (Optional) Gently muddle a small lime wedge with the other ingredients for extra citrus flavour.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice.
  5. Close the lid and shake well until the outside of the shaker feels very cold (about 15-20 seconds).
  6. Double strain into your prepared, salt-rimmed glass filled with ice. This will remove any charcoal clumps.
  7. Add a lime wedge to the rim, sprinkle lightly with edible black glitter.
  8. Serve immediately. Enjoy responsibly.
