Ingredients:
- /4 cup Light Brown Sugar (packed)
- /4 cup Smoked Paprika
- Tablespoons Granulated Garlic
- Tablespoons Granulated Onion
- Tablespoon Kosher Salt
- Tablespoon Coarse Ground Black Pepper
- Tablespoon Chili Powder (American Style)
- Teaspoon Dry Mustard Powder
- Teaspoon Ground Cumin
- /2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (or to taste)
Instructions:
- Measure out the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, chili powder, dry mustard, cumin, and cayenne pepper into a medium mixing bowl.
- Add the packed light brown sugar to the bowl of dry spices.
- Using a whisk or large spoon, vigorously mix all ingredients together until the colour is completely uniform throughout. Ensure the brown sugar is thoroughly broken up and incorporated.
- Optional: Take a tiny pinch and taste on your fingertip. Adjust salt or cayenne as necessary for your preference.
- Transfer the finished Homemade Rib Rub to an airtight storage container, such as a Mason jar. Label clearly with the date—this rub is best used within 3 months.
