Ingredients:

  • Large Eggs (as many as desired)
  • Water (enough to cover the eggs)

Instructions:

  1. Gently place the eggs in a single layer in the saucepan.
  2. Add cold water until the eggs are submerged by about 1 inch / 2.5 cm.
  3. Bring the water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Once boiling, immediately turn off the heat, cover the saucepan with a lid.
  5. Let the eggs stand in the hot water for 10-12 minutes, depending on desired yolk consistency.
  6. While eggs are standing, fill a large bowl with ice and cold water.
  7. After the standing time, carefully transfer the eggs to the ice bath using a slotted spoon or tongs.
  8. Let the eggs cool completely in the ice bath for at least 10 minutes.
  9. Gently crack the eggshells all over. Then, peel the eggs under cool running water, starting from the larger end.
