Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups (420ml) whole milk
- 1/2 cup (120ml) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until just combined. Don't overmix! A few lumps are okay.
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly grease it if necessary.
- Pour the appropriate amount of batter (according to your waffle iron's instructions) onto the hot waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until golden brown and crispy, usually 2-3 minutes.
- Carefully remove the waffle from the iron and place it on a cooling rack (if using) to maintain its crispness.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 with the remaining batter.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
