Ingredients:
- 1 pound (454g) ground beef (80/20 blend is good for flavor)
- 1 packet (approx. 1 oz/28g) Taco Seasoning Mix (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ cup (120ml) water
- 8 (6-inch/15cm) flour tortillas
- 1 (15 ounce/425g) can refried beans
- 1 cup (240ml) Taco Bell Mild Sauce (or your favorite mild taco sauce)
- 2 cups (225g) shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup (60g) diced tomatoes
- ¼ cup (30g) sliced green onions, for garnish (optional)
- Vegetable oil, for brushing
Instructions:
- Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly brush both sides of the tortillas with vegetable oil. Arrange them on the baking sheet.
- Spread a thin layer of refried beans on four of the tortillas. Top with half of the seasoned ground beef.
- Place the remaining four tortillas on top of the beef-covered tortillas. Spread the taco sauce evenly over the top tortillas.
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over the taco sauce-covered tortillas.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the tortillas are lightly golden brown.
- Remove from oven. Top with diced tomatoes and green onions (if using). Cut each pizza into wedges and serve immediately.
