Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup (50g) Vegetable Oil (or Coconut Oil)
  • 1/2 cup (100g) Unpopped Popcorn Kernels
  • 1/4 cup (50g) Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3g) Salt

Instructions:

  1. Add oil to the large pot and place over medium-high heat.
  2. Add 2-3 popcorn kernels to the pot. Cover and wait for them to pop. This indicates the oil is hot enough. Remove those popped kernels.
  3. Pour in the remaining popcorn kernels, sugar, and salt.
  4. Immediately cover the pot and shake vigorously to coat the kernels evenly.
  5. Place the pot back on the heat. Continue shaking the pot frequently (every 15-20 seconds) to prevent burning.
  6. Once the popping slows down to about 2-3 seconds between pops, remove the pot from the heat.
  7. Pour the kettle corn onto a large baking sheet or into a large bowl to cool slightly. This prevents sticking. Serve immediately and enjoy! This kettle corn recipe is easy to do.
