Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (50g) Vegetable Oil (or Coconut Oil)
- 1/2 cup (100g) Unpopped Popcorn Kernels
- 1/4 cup (50g) Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon (3g) Salt
Instructions:
- Add oil to the large pot and place over medium-high heat.
- Add 2-3 popcorn kernels to the pot. Cover and wait for them to pop. This indicates the oil is hot enough. Remove those popped kernels.
- Pour in the remaining popcorn kernels, sugar, and salt.
- Immediately cover the pot and shake vigorously to coat the kernels evenly.
- Place the pot back on the heat. Continue shaking the pot frequently (every 15-20 seconds) to prevent burning.
- Once the popping slows down to about 2-3 seconds between pops, remove the pot from the heat.
- Pour the kettle corn onto a large baking sheet or into a large bowl to cool slightly. This prevents sticking. Serve immediately and enjoy! This kettle corn recipe is easy to do.
