Ingredients:

  • 2 (6-ounce/170g each) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon/15ml olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon/15ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon/5ml dried herbs de Provence
  • 1/4 teaspoon/1.25ml salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon/1.25ml black pepper
  • 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your broiler to high. Position a rack 4-6 inches below the broiler element.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil (optional) for easier cleanup.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, herbs de Provence, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the marinade evenly over the top of each fillet.
  5. Broil for 5-7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices (if using). Serve immediately.
