Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Mezcal (Espadín recommended)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Cointreau (or other orange liqueur)
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Agave Nectar (Light or Amber)
  • Lime wedge (optional garnish)
  • Salt or Tajin (chili lime seasoning, optional)

Instructions:

  1. If desired, salt or Tajin the rim of your glass. Moisten the rim with a lime wedge and dip into the seasoning.
  2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the mezcal, lime juice, Cointreau, and agave nectar.
  3. Close the shaker tightly and shake well for 15-20 seconds to chill and combine.
  4. Strain the mezcal margarita recipe into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge.
