Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup diced jalapeños
- 1 cup sharp white cheddar, freshly grated
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 8 large 10-inch flour tortillas
- 1 lb smoked turkey breast, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh chives, finely chopped
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream, stirring until the mixture is velvety and smooth.
- Fold in the diced jalapeños, grated cheddar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly distributed.
- Lay a tortilla flat and place 2-3 slices of smoked turkey over the bottom two-thirds of the wrap to create a moisture barrier.
- Spread approximately 2-3 tablespoons of the jalapeño mixture evenly over the turkey layer, leaving a 1/2 inch margin at the edges.
- Sprinkle a pinch of chopped chives over the cream cheese filling.
- Roll the tortilla tightly from the bottom upward, applying firm pressure to eliminate air pockets.
- Wrap each finished log tightly in plastic wrap, twisting the ends to compress the roll.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or freeze for 20 minutes) until firm.
- Remove plastic wrap and use a serrated knife to slice the logs into 1/2 inch rounds using a gentle sawing motion.
