Ingredients:
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1 lb (454g) ground beef (80/20)
- 1 (15-ounce/425g) can Manwich sloppy joe sauce
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 Tablespoons (57g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon (12g) packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Drain off any excess grease from the skillet.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in the Manwich (or homemade sauce). Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice the block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half, keeping the top and bottom halves intact.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the sloppy joe mixture evenly over the rolls.
- Layer the cheddar cheese slices over the meat mixture.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
- In a small bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley (if using). Let cool slightly before slicing and serving the Sloppy Joe Sliders .
