Ingredients:

  • 4 oz (120 ml) Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Grenadine Syrup
  • 2-3 Maraschino Cherries, plus a splash of the cherry juice
  • Ice cubes
  • (Optional) Orange slice or lime wedge for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour in the ginger ale or ginger beer.
  3. Gently pour the grenadine syrup over the ginger ale/beer. Avoid pouring directly on the ice, let it cascade down the side of the glass.
  4. Stir gently to combine the ingredients. Aim for a uniform colour.
  5. Add the maraschino cherries (and a splash of the cherry juice) and optional orange slice or lime wedge.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy this shirley temple drink recipe!
