Ingredients:
- 24 pretzel rods (approximately 15 cm or 6 inches long)
- 12 ounces (340g) orange candy melts (or white chocolate dyed orange with food coloring)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
- Approximately 48 candy eyes
- Optional: Halloween-themed sprinkles
Instructions:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
- Combine candy melts and vegetable shortening (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
- Dip each pretzel rod into the melted candy, coating about two-thirds of the pretzel. Use a spoon or spatula to help coat evenly.
- Immediately place dipped pretzel on the prepared baking sheet. While the candy is still wet, attach two candy eyes. Sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles, if desired.
- Refrigerate the pretzel sticks for at least 30 minutes, or until the candy coating is firm.
- Remove from refrigerator and serve!
