Ingredients:

  • 24 pretzel rods (approximately 15 cm or 6 inches long)
  • 12 ounces (340g) orange candy melts (or white chocolate dyed orange with food coloring)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Approximately 48 candy eyes
  • Optional: Halloween-themed sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  2. Combine candy melts and vegetable shortening (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Dip each pretzel rod into the melted candy, coating about two-thirds of the pretzel. Use a spoon or spatula to help coat evenly.
  4. Immediately place dipped pretzel on the prepared baking sheet. While the candy is still wet, attach two candy eyes. Sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles, if desired.
  5. Refrigerate the pretzel sticks for at least 30 minutes, or until the candy coating is firm.
  6. Remove from refrigerator and serve!
