Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli (about 1.5 lbs / 680g), cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (approximately 1 teaspoon/5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) (1g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (3g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1g)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (15ml)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (if using).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss well to ensure all florets are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they aren't overcrowding! Roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the broccoli is tender-crisp and golden brown on the edges.
  4. Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Toss gently to coat. Serve hot.
