Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved (or quartered if large)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon (15ml) balsamic vinegar (for finishing)
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the Brussels sprouts. Trim the ends and halve or quarter them, removing any loose or discolored outer leaves.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder. Make sure they are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your model requires it. Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches. This is how to cook brussel sprouts.
  4. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and crispy, with nicely browned edges. Check for desired doneness - they should be easily pierced with a fork.
  5. If using, drizzle balsamic vinegar over the cooked Brussels sprouts and toss to coat.
  6. Serve immediately and relish!
