Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved (or quartered if large)
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper
- Optional: 1 tablespoon (15ml) balsamic vinegar (for finishing)
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) garlic powder
Instructions:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the Brussels sprouts. Trim the ends and halve or quarter them, removing any loose or discolored outer leaves.
- In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder. Make sure they are evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your model requires it. Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches. This is how to cook brussel sprouts.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and crispy, with nicely browned edges. Check for desired doneness - they should be easily pierced with a fork.
- If using, drizzle balsamic vinegar over the cooked Brussels sprouts and toss to coat.
- Serve immediately and relish!
