Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6-8 oz/170-225g each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme) for flavouring

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika (if using).
  4. Brush the chicken breasts with the olive oil mixture, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Place chicken breasts on a baking sheet (lined with foil or parchment paper for easier cleanup).
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
