Ingredients:

  • 1 box (14.4 oz) graham crackers (400g)
  • 1 cup (2 sticks/226g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups (12 oz/340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (150g) holiday-themed sprinkles (or crushed candies)
  • ½ cup (75g) chopped nuts (optional - pecans or almonds)
  • Sea salt for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange a single layer of graham crackers, breaking them if necessary to fit.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  4. Pour the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the graham crackers.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
  7. Let sit for 5 minutes until the chocolate begins to melt, then use an offset spatula to spread it evenly.
  8. Top with sprinkles and nuts (if using) and a sprinkle of sea salt.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until set.
  10. Cut into pieces and serve.
