Ingredients:
- 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup (80ml) water
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 1 cup (250g) pizza sauce or tomato sauce
- 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup diced bell peppers (mixed colors)
- 1/2 cup sliced red onion
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add yogurt and olive oil. Mix to form a dough.
- Gradually add water, kneading until a soft dough forms.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
- Roll each portion into an oval shape about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place the rolled naan on a baking sheet and bake for 3-4 minutes until just cooked but not browned.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over each naan.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top, followed by your choice of toppings.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 7-8 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve immediately.
