Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) water
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
  • 1 cup (250g) pizza sauce or tomato sauce
  • 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (mixed colors)
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add yogurt and olive oil. Mix to form a dough.
  3. Gradually add water, kneading until a soft dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
  7. Roll each portion into an oval shape about 1/4 inch thick.
  8. Place the rolled naan on a baking sheet and bake for 3-4 minutes until just cooked but not browned.
  9. Spread pizza sauce evenly over each naan.
  10. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top, followed by your choice of toppings.
  11. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 7-8 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  12. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve immediately.
