Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Old-fashioned Rolled Oats (100 g)
  • 1 cup Milk (Dairy or Plant-based) (240 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds (20 g)
  • 2 tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup (30 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon (2.5 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract (2.5 ml)
  • Pinch Fine Sea Salt (approx. 0.6 g)
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Pecans (30 g)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl or directly in your jar, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, ground cinnamon, and pinch of salt. Give them a quick stir to ensure even distribution.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate cup, whisk together the milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until the syrup is fully incorporated.
  3. Mix & Transfer: Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir vigorously for about 30 seconds to ensure the oats are fully submerged and the chia seeds do not clump at the bottom. If using a bowl, divide the mixture evenly between two airtight jars.
  4. Seal and Chill: Seal the jars tightly with the lids. Place them in the refrigerator immediately. Ensure the mixture is fully refrigerated for a minimum of 4 hours, but ideally 8 hours or overnight, allowing the oats and chia seeds to fully hydrate.
  5. Check Consistency: Remove the oats from the fridge. Open the jar and stir. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash (1–2 tablespoons) of milk until the desired consistency is reached.
  6. Taste and Adjust: Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning if necessary, such as adding a tiny dash more maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
  7. Top and Serve: Top each serving with the chopped pecans. Serve cold straight from the jar.
