Ingredients:

  • 2 (6-ounce/170g each) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup (15g) fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1g) sea salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1g) black pepper, freshly ground, or to taste
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon (15g) butter, cut into small pats

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (if using).
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Top each salmon fillet with lemon slices and chopped fresh dill. Place a pat of butter on top of each fillet (if using).
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  6. Serve immediately.
