Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds or 680 grams)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Mix well until combined.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over chicken, ensuring it's well coated. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken breasts (reserve marinade) to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
  4. In the same skillet, add reserved marinade. Bring to a simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly (around 3-5 minutes).
  5. Drizzle thickened sauce over cooked chicken breasts. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
