Ingredients:

  • 4 Filet Mignon steaks, 6 oz each
  • 2 tbsp Neutral oil
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • ½ tsp Cracked black pepper
  • ⅓ cup Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Pat the filets completely dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
  2. Heat neutral oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place filets in the pan and sear for 3–4 minutes per side without moving them until a deep golden-brown crust forms.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add unsalted butter and minced garlic to the pan, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Continuously drizzle the bubbling sauce over the steaks using a spoon for 2–3 minutes until the glaze becomes sticky and glossy.
  5. Remove steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
