Ingredients:
- 4 Filet Mignon steaks, 6 oz each
- 2 tbsp Neutral oil
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- ½ tsp Cracked black pepper
- ⅓ cup Honey
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Pat the filets completely dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
- Heat neutral oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place filets in the pan and sear for 3–4 minutes per side without moving them until a deep golden-brown crust forms.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add unsalted butter and minced garlic to the pan, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Continuously drizzle the bubbling sauce over the steaks using a spoon for 2–3 minutes until the glaze becomes sticky and glossy.
- Remove steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
