Ingredients:

  • 1 large loaf (16 oz) French Baguette or Ciabatta
  • 0.5 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp flaky sea salt
  • 2 tbsp fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, sea salt, and chopped parsley. Use a fork to mash the ingredients until they form a uniform, pale paste.
  2. Using a serrated knife, slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise (horizontally). Use a spatula to apply a generous, edge-to-edge layer of the garlic butter mixture onto both cut sides.
  3. Place the bread halves butter-side up on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the center of the oven at 425°F (220°C) for 8–10 minutes until the butter is bubbling and the edges are deep golden brown.
