Ingredients:

  • 4 cups frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, spinach, or onions)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine thawed hash browns, beaten egg, melted butter, and seasoning.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a pie dish to form the crust.
  4. Bake crust for 20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from oven and set aside.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until combined.
  6. Stir in cheese, chopped vegetables, garlic powder, and seasoning.
  7. Pour the egg mixture evenly into the baked hash brown crust.
  8. Lower the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set and top is gently golden.
  9. Allow quiche to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
