Ingredients:
- 1 packet Indomie Mi Goreng instant noodles
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced (3g)
- 1/2 inch ginger, minced (2g)
- 1/4 cup frozen peas (30g)
- 1 large egg
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced (10g)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (15ml)
- 1 tsp sesame oil (5ml)
- Optional: Sriracha or chili flakes, to taste
Instructions:
- Cook Indomie noodles according to package directions, reserving about 1/4 cup of the cooking water. Drain the noodles and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in the frying pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
- Push the garlic and ginger to one side of the pan. Crack the egg into the cleared space and cook to your liking (sunny-side up is ideal for that lovely runny yolk).
- Add the drained noodles, frozen peas, soy sauce, sesame oil, and reserved cooking water to the frying pan. Toss everything together until well combined and the noodles are coated in the sauce.
- Transfer the noodles to a bowl. Top with the cooked egg and green onions. Add sriracha or chili flakes if desired. Dig in!
