Ingredients:

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1-2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2-3 slices cheddar cheese
  • Optional: Garlic powder, a pinch

Instructions:

  1. Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. Optional: Lightly sprinkle with garlic powder on the buttered side of one slice.
  2. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, on a clean surface. Layer with cheese slices. Top with the other slice of bread, butter-side up.
  3. Place the assembled sandwich into the air fryer basket.
  4. Air fry at 370°F (185°C) for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey. Check regularly to prevent burning – air fryers can vary!
  5. Carefully remove the grilled cheese from the air fryer. Cut in half (optional) and serve immediately.
