Ingredients:

  • 2 fl oz (60 ml) Blanco Tequila (100% Agave)
  • 3 fl oz (90 ml) Fresh Grapefruit Juice
  • 75 fl oz (22.5 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 5 fl oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup (1:1 ratio)
  • Club Soda or Sparkling Water, chilled, for topping
  • Kosher Salt or Flaky Sea Salt, for rim
  • 1 Grapefruit wedge or wheel, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Glass: Spread a thin layer of salt (optional: mix with lime zest) on a small plate. Run a lime or grapefruit wedge around half of the rim of the highball glass.
  2. Salt the Rim: Gently dip the wet half of the rim into the salt mixture. Fill the glass completely with fresh ice cubes and set aside.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour the Tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker or mixing glass. Fill the shaker with ice.
  4. Chill the Base: Shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is thoroughly frosted. This ensures the drink is perfectly cold.
  5. Strain and Top: Strain the chilled mixture over the fresh ice in the prepared highball glass. Top the drink with 2–3 ounces (approx. 60–90 ml) of chilled club soda or sparkling water.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Gently stir once to integrate the soda, then garnish with the grapefruit wedge or wheel placed on the rim. Serve immediately.
