Ingredients:

  • 12 large pretzel rods (or pretzel twists)
  • 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips (milk or dark chocolate)
  • ½ cup (90g) white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) vegetable oil
  • 24 pretzel antlers (mini pretzels or broken pieces of larger pretzels)
  • 24 candy eyes (or mini chocolate candies for eyes)
  • 12 red candy (e.g., red M&Ms or red candies for noses)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Work Surface: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  3. Dip Pretzels: Dip each pretzel rod into melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds. Let excess drip off before placing on prepared baking sheet.
  4. Chill: Place the dipped pretzels in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes until set.
  5. Melt White Chocolate: Repeat the melting process for white chocolate chips, using a separate bowl.
  6. Decorate Reindeer: Remove the pretzels from the refrigerator. Use white chocolate to attach the pretzel eyes and red candy nose, as well as antlers.
  7. Final Chill: Refrigerate briefly (about 5-10 minutes) to set the decorations.
  8. Serve: Arrange on a plate and serve chilled or at room temperature.
