Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (45g) rolled oats (not instant!)
- 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) chia seeds (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In your jar or container, combine the rolled oats, milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, chia seeds (if using), vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and no cocoa powder clumps remain.
- Secure the lid tightly on the jar or container.
- Place the sealed container in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Before serving, give the oats a good stir. If they are too thick, add a splash more milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Add your favourite toppings and enjoy immediately!
