Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh Sugar Snap Peas, ends trimmed
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt (or to taste)
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Lemon Zest
- 1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice (for finishing)
Instructions:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the sugar snap peas. Trim off the tough stringy bit running along the seam of each pea. Ensuring they are completely dry is crucial.
- Preheat the air fryer unit to 380°F (195°C) for 3-5 minutes, if desired.
- In a large bowl, toss the dried peas with olive oil, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper until lightly and evenly coated.
- Place the seasoned peas in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary to ensure crisping.
- Air fry for 6 minutes, then shake the basket vigorously.
- Return to the air fryer for another 1–2 minutes, or until the peas are tender-crisp and show slight blistering/charring on the edges.
- Transfer the hot peas immediately to a clean serving bowl. Sprinkle with fresh lemon zest and drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Toss quickly and serve immediately.
