Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (225g)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (240ml)
  • 1 cup sour cream (240ml)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (115g)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (55g)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pickled jalapeños (50g), plus extra for garnish
  • 4 ounces canned green chilies, drained and chopped (115g)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (30g), plus extra for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (2.5ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
  • Optional: Cooked and crumbled bacon (about 4 strips), for added flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, jalapeños, green chilies, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. If using bacon, stir that in too.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and golden brown around the edges.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with extra jalapeños and green onions.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite chips, crackers, or vegetables. This is one of the best dips for chips.
