Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon (15g) olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup (240ml) chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Whisk in Dijon mustard and simmer for 3-5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, allowing it to warm through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm alongside perfectly cooked chicken.
