- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon (15g) Dijon mustard
- ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon (15g) fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Whisk in Dijon mustard and simmer for 3-5 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, allowing it to warm through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm alongside perfectly cooked chicken.
