Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp (21g) honey
- 1/2 tsp (2g) vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
- 1 sheet (250g) light puff pastry, thawed
- 1 tbsp (15g) melted butter
- 1 tsp (5g) coarse sugar
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, honey, vanilla, and cinnamon until velvety and smooth.
- Place the bowl in the fridge for 10 minutes to stabilize the filling.
- Roll out the pastry on a clean surface and use a pizza cutter to slice the dough into 12 equal squares, approximately 2x2 inches each.
- Spoon exactly 1 1/2 tsp (7.5ml) of the chilled cream cheese mixture into the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of the dough toward the center and pinch the seams tightly to create a small parcel, ensuring no gaps exist.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the bites seam-side down.
- Lightly brush the tops of the bites with melted butter and sprinkle with a pinch of coarse sugar.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12 minutes or until the pastry is mahogany-colored.
