Ingredients:

  • /2 cup Mayonnaise (Full Fat)
  • /4 cup White Wine Vinegar
  • /4 cup Cold Water
  • Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • Tablespoons Light Olive Oil
  • Tablespoon Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • /2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • /2 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • /2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • /2 teaspoon Salt (Kosher or Sea)

Instructions:

  1. Combine the base ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, white wine vinegar, cold water, sugar, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard.
  2. Whisk the base vigorously until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth and pale, approximately 1 minute.
  3. Add the flavor agents: Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, black pepper, and salt. Whisk again until all dried spices are evenly distributed.
  4. Incorporate the oil slowly: While continuously whisking steadily, drizzle in the olive oil until the dressing emulsifies slightly and thickens to a creamy, pourable consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Add a pinch more sugar if too tangy, or a teaspoon of cold water if too thick.
  6. Chill: Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes before serving to allow the dried herbs to hydrate and the flavors to fully meld.
