Ingredients:
- /2 cup Mayonnaise (Full Fat)
- /4 cup White Wine Vinegar
- /4 cup Cold Water
- Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- Tablespoons Light Olive Oil
- Tablespoon Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- teaspoon Garlic Powder
- /2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- teaspoon Dried Oregano
- /2 teaspoon Dried Basil
- /2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- /2 teaspoon Salt (Kosher or Sea)
Instructions:
- Combine the base ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, white wine vinegar, cold water, sugar, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard.
- Whisk the base vigorously until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth and pale, approximately 1 minute.
- Add the flavor agents: Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, black pepper, and salt. Whisk again until all dried spices are evenly distributed.
- Incorporate the oil slowly: While continuously whisking steadily, drizzle in the olive oil until the dressing emulsifies slightly and thickens to a creamy, pourable consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Add a pinch more sugar if too tangy, or a teaspoon of cold water if too thick.
- Chill: Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes before serving to allow the dried herbs to hydrate and the flavors to fully meld.
