Ingredients:
- 3 large overripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until few lumps remain. Whisk in the melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt directly into the wet mixture. Using a spatula, gently fold the batter together until no streaks of white flour remain.
- Stir in the chocolate chips quickly so they are evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
