Ingredients:

  • 3 large overripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until few lumps remain. Whisk in the melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  3. Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt directly into the wet mixture. Using a spatula, gently fold the batter together until no streaks of white flour remain.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips quickly so they are evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
